Arriving at Incheon Airport

Most Indonesian students enter Korea through Incheon International Airport. It has two terminals (T1 and T2); check which one your airline uses.

1. Arrival card

Foreign visitors fill in an arrival card. You can do it online before you land at e-arrivalcard.go.kr, or use the paper card handed out on the plane and available at desks before the immigration queue. Both are still accepted in 2026. Once you hold a residence card (ARC) you usually no longer need one.

2. Immigration

Use the Foreigners lanes. Have your passport, arrival card and the address where you will stay ready. Officers take your fingerprints and a photo.

3. T-money card

T-money is the top-up card for buses, the subway and taxis almost everywhere in Korea. Convenience stores (GS25, CU, 7-Eleven) at the airport and in town sell it; top it up with cash. ₩30,000–50,000 is usually enough to start. You can show the cashier: 안녕하세요. 티머니 카드 하나 주시고 5만 원 충전해 주세요. (“Hello, one T-money card with 50,000 won on it, please.”)

4. To Seoul: the AREX train

• All-stop train: about 1 hour to Seoul Station, about ₩5,000 with T-money.
• Express train: non-stop, about 45–50 minutes, ticket from the AREX machines or counter; about ₩11,000–13,000.

5. To other cities

• Intercity buses leave the airport for many cities (Daejeon, Cheonan, Daegu, Busan, Gwangju and more). Tickets at the counters or kiosks on the arrivals floor, or at intercitybuse.tmoney.co.kr.
• Trains from Seoul Station: KTX (fastest), ITX-Saemaeul and Mugunghwa (cheapest); SRT leaves from Suseo Station. Book KTX, ITX and Mugunghwa without an ARC at korail.com.
• Taxis wait outside the terminals; use the official taxi rank.

Leaving Korea

Departure queues can be long; arrive at least 3 hours before an international flight. ARC holders can try the ICN SMARTPASS app for a faster lane; see airport.kr for the current rules.
